The Associated Press did not disclose the cause of death. A 2014 fourth-rounder, Taliaferro also dabbled at fullback, but injuries cut his career short after a 13-appearance rookie season. His last NFL appearance came in 2016. 

Taliaferro, a 2014 fourth-round pick, has managed just 14 carries over the last two seasons in total and is now down for the rest of the season with a hamstring issue. There is no real difference to the Ravens backfield with this move since he didn't factor at all into game plans in the first place.

The Ravens will rely on Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon to serve as their primary running back options once again. Taliaferro has not seen action since suffering his thigh in the Week 10 game against Cleveland, and will most likely not see any snaps Monday against the Patriots.

Taliaferro has not touched the ball since October 23rd after being taken off the PUP list earlier that week. He has not been involved at all in the Ravens run game with the emergence of Kenneth Dixon. Terrance West is still the lead back in Baltimore but Dixon has been getting more and more work each week. Taliaferro can be on waiver wires in all leagues.
