Lance Moore
Player News
Lance Moore will announce his retirement from the NFL on Monday.
This comes at an odd time, only three days after signing a contract with the Atlanta Falcons. Moore's career ends after playing for three teams (Saints, Steelers, Lions) and recorded 389 career receptions, 4,816 yards (12.4 YPC) and 44 TD's across an 11 year career. He's 32 years old.
Lance Moore (ankle) is listed as probable for Monday's game.
If Calvin Johnson cannot play on Monday night, then Moore could conceivably see more action come his way. The Lions have a juicy matchup against the Saints and their porous defense. Moore was able to practice fully on Saturday, so his balky ankle is finally mended.
Head Coach Jim Caldwell expects Lance Moore to play on Monday against the Saints.
This could be bad news for Golden Tate's fantasy owners. Tate caught 17 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns over the last two weeks with Moore out. Moore has not gotten enough work to be fantasy relevant himself, but he does have four touchdowns this season, the same number as Golden Tate.
Lance Moore (ankle) was limited at practice on Wednesday.
Moore originally injured his ankle on Thanksgiving, but for the fifth string wide receiver, there isn't much fantasy value to be had. Look elsewhere in Week 14.
