Kyle Murphy
Player News
Murphy (undisclosed) worked out with the Bears on Tuesday, freelance NFL writer Howard Balzer reports.
Murphy dealt with an undisclosed, non-football injury last April and was cut by the Rams. Now that he's healthy, it appears he's taking tryouts with teams that need depth on their offensive front.
Murphy (ankle) signed with the Rams' practice squad Saturday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.
Murphy spent the season on injured reserve in Green Bay but was waived off IR on Thursday. The 2016 sixth-round pick out of Stanford appears healthy and will end the regular season back in California.
The Packers waived Murphy (ankle) from injured reserve Thursday.
Murphy was initially placed on IR on Sept. 2 after suffering an injury during the Packers' third preseason game, and has ultimately been waived by the team. The former 2016 sixth-round pick will search for a depth role elsewhere in the league.
Packers agreed to terms with sixth round pick T Kyle Murphy.
Murphy played in 54 games during his time at Stanford University, but really grew into an NFL prospect over his last two seasons. He earned All-Pac-12 honors in his final two seasons. Consider him positional depth for the Packers in his rookie season.
