Chiefs activated OL Kyle Long from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The 33-year-old veteran un-retired last spring but has still yet to play a snap this season after coming off the PUP list on Nov. 30. We wouldn't consider it terribly likely Long suits up down the stretch. At this point, he is a depth piece who has "seen it all" at both guard and tackle.

Long still isn't ready to go after being activated from the reserve/PUP list ahead of Week 13. Long could potentially make his debut in Week 15 against the Chargers.

Long was activated from the reserve/PUP list on Tuesday, which was the final day of his three-week activation window. They either had to activate him or rule him out for the season, so they chose to activate him, but it appears he is not ready to return to action just yet. It's unclear when Long will be available for Kansas City.

He'll take Jerick McKinnon's (IR) vacant spot on the active roster. On the final day of his three-week practice window, the Chiefs had no choice but to activate Long or lose him for the rest of the year. It's unclear if he will actually be available to play out of the team's bye.
