Texans waived DL Kingsley Keke.
Keke was claimed off waivers from the Packers in the offseason, but Houston's recent signings of Rasheem Green and Mario Addison appear to have pushed him off the roster. Keke has shown some pass-rush capability in limited snaps in 2021 and 2020, so he may be claimed again. The Texans also waived OL Sam Cooper.
Packers declared DL Kingsley Keke, LB Isaiah McDuffie, S Vernon Scott, and OLB La'Darius Hamilton inactive for Week 9 against the Chiefs.
No surprises here. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is available upon being activated from injured reserve.
Keke had 10 tackles (three solo) in 14 games this season.
The rookie fifth-round pick never saw a heavy workload in 2019, as he played a total of 94 defensive snaps when working in a rotational role. Keke seems unlikely to enter 2020 in line for a significantly different role since most of the defensive-line rotation remains under contract or team control.
Keke had one tackle in Sunday's victory over the Panthers.
Keke has served as a rotational defensive lineman for the Packers in his rookie season, playing at least 10 percent of the defensive snaps in all but two games since making his debut in Week 3.
