Falcons re-signed CB Kevin King to a contract.
King logged just 74 defensive snaps last season but had a career-best year as a special teamer. His 89.2 PFF special teams grade leads all Falcons players with at least 100 special teams snaps, and he totaled two qualifying tackles. On defense, he broke up one pass and notched six tackles.
Falcons declared DL Brandon Dorlus, WR Casey Washington, CB Kevin King, OL Tyrone Wheatley Jr., OL Elijah Wilkinson, RB Carlos Washington Jr., and OT Brandon Parker inactive for Week 17 against the Commanders.
The Falcons continue to be a picture of good health as none of their starting 22 are sidelined entering Week 17. They now control their own playoff destiny but need a win against the Commanders after the Buccaneers won earlier today.
Falcons released CB Kevin King.
The team is expected to elevate LB Nate Landman (quad) to the active roster after activating him from injured reserve via the 21-day practice window on Wednesday. King played seven snaps this season, allowing one 13-yard completion on one target.
Falcons signed CB Kevin King, formerly of the Packers.
King hasn’t played a regular season snap since 2021 and suffered a torn Achilles while working out last May. The former second-round pick has started in 42 of the 51 games he’s appeared in for his career but has dealt with a myriad of injuries for the last three years — in addition to his torn Achilles. King will likely have to battle for a spot on the Falcons’ 53-man roster in camp.
