Kentrell Brothers
Player News
The NFL suspended free agent LB Kentrell Brothers nine games for violating PED policies.
This is his second suspension in three years, so the punishment is longer. Already going unsigned for months, Brothers faces an uphill battle to find a roster spot in 2020. He has spent the last four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, primarily as a special teamer.
Brothers (hamstring) is active and will play in Sunday's divisional matchup with Detroit.
Brothers has missed the last three contests due to the lingering hamstring injury, and as evidenced by this news, emerged healthy enough to return to the field. Now that he's officially active, look for the Missouri product to assume his usual depth role on defense and be deployed on special teams.
Brothers (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Lions, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports.
Brothers has sat out the last three games due to lingering injuries. He appears to have a chance at suiting up Week 7, but it sounds like Brothers' availability could come down to a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. EST kickoff.
Brothers (hamstring) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Brothers has missed the last two games with lingering injuries, and, as evidenced by this news, will miss a third. The Vikings promoted Cameron Smith to their 53-man roster Saturday, so it will be up to him and Eric Wilson to provide the linebacker depth for Week 6.
