Washington WR Kelvin Harmon has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and will miss the 2020 season.

Harmon suffered the injury getting in shape for camp. The No. 206 overall pick of last year's draft, Harmon made some noise down the stretch for Washington's undermanned receiver corps. Although he lacked an ADP in fantasy drafts, Harmon was on track for a 2020 role. Washington's receiver depth chart is now ludicrously thin behind Terry McLaurin. Steven Sims and Antonio Gibson's arrows are pointed skyward. Five months shy of his 24th birthday, Harmon is not much of a Dynasty league stash.

Harmon caught three of five targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 47-16 loss to Dallas, finishing his rookie season with 30 receptions for 365 yards on 44 targets.

The sixth-round pick had no more than 58 yards in any game and never scored a touchdown, but he did play at least 66 percent of offensive snaps in seven consecutive games to close out the season, averaging 3.1 catches for 41.4 yards on 5.0 targets over that stretch. While fellow rookies Terry McLaurin (concussion) and Steven Sims Jr. held far more appeal for fantasy managers, Harmon did well to catch 68.2 percent of his chances for 8.3 yards per target in an offense that finished the season with a 62.2 completion percentage and 6.7 yards per pass attempt. He should have a chance to compete for a starting job in 2020, presumably the outside spot across from McLaurin while Sims continues to man the slot -- although new head coach Ron Rivera may want to bolster the position group in the offseason via the draft or free agency.

Harmon caught five of six passes for 58 yards and completed his lone pass attempt for 11 yards during Sunday's 41-35 overtime loss to the Giants.

Harmon provided his most productive outing of the season as he finished second among Washington's wide receivers in offensive snaps, only one snap behind Terry McLaurin. The rookie sixth-round pick has enjoyed a strong second half of the season working as the team's No. 3 wide receiver, catching 19 passes for 257 yards in the last six games.

Harmon recorded two receptions for 22 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.

Harmon got the start Sunday alongside Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims after Paul Richardson (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve. The rookie now has 14 receptions for 199 yards in the past five contests and could see his reps continue to climb over the final two games of the year.
