Keith Reaser
Player News
Reaser (Achilles) reverted to the Chiefs' injured reserve list Thursday.
It's suspected that Reaser is dealing with an Achilles tear, so if that's the case, won't suit up in 2019. The veteran has spent time with the Chiefs in 2017 and 2018 and will stay on the roster this season barring an injury settlement.
Coach Andy Reid said Monday that he believes Reaser suffered an Achilles tear, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Reaser spent time with the Chiefs in 2017 and 2018 and latched on with the team again in April. If the 2014 fifth-round pick is indeed nursing a torn Achilles, he'll miss the entire 2019 NFL season as he works to recover.
Keith Reaser says his knee is feeling great and he expects big things in 2015.
The 49ers drafted Reaser in the fifth round in 2014 after he tore his ACL in college. The 49ers will be counting on Reaser to help replace Chris Culliver and Perrish Cox, who both left via free agency. The San Francisco defense is likely sliding down draft boards due to injuries and retirements, but players like Reaser give the 49ers a chance to be quite good on defense again next season.
The 49ers announce they've signed cornerback Keith Reaser.
Reaser was considered the top corner for Florida Atlantic but tore his ACL back in October. It\'s not even a certainty that he will even play in 2014.
