Justin Hunter
Player News
Hunter (shoulder) has returned to full health and is preparing for a slew of team workouts, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Hunter reportedly intends to work out for Houston, New England, Washington, Baltimore and the Jets. The veteran wideout spent the last two seasons with the Steelers, during which time he appeared in 12 games and notched seven catches for 44 yards and one touchdown. He's a candidate to land a role on special teams.
Hunter is expected to be a part of three-wide sets Sunday at Cleveland, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Since he was selected in the second round of the 2013 draft, Hunter has bounced around four organizations in five seasons, never surpassing 30 catches, 500 yards or four touchdowns in a given year. Behind Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster, Hunter also has to contend with rookie James Washington, but the veteran showed well in the preseason with a 7-132-1 line.
Hunter has continued to work with the Steelers' first-team offense while Martavis Bryant (suspension) remains unable to practice, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Buffalo WR Justin Hunter expected to start in place of Robert Woods in Week 7.
Hunter landed in Buffalo a few weeks ago and now he's looking likely to play most of this game. Buffalo is really thin at WR and Hunter is worth a look in GPPs as a value play this week. Charles Clay should also see plenty of targets.
