Steckler joins the Texans after spending much of 2020 on the New England practice squad. Steckler was Northern Illinois University's lone All-MAC player during his senior season in 2019. He was durable, playing in 30 of 34 games over his final three years at Northern Illinois. Steckler will likely start the year on Houston's practice squad.
