Mills was designated for return from injured reserve in late November, but the Cardinals let three weeks go by without activating him, reverting him to injured reserve for the rest of the season.

Mills was placed on injured reserve at the beginning of October but now will be eligible to return to practice. The Cardinals will then have three weeks to decide if they want to activate the veteran.

Mills started the last two games for the Cardinals, but now he'll land on IR, where he'll stay until at least Week 13.

Mills started in all 16 games for Buffalo each of the last three seasons. The 28-year-old will at least provide depth to Arizona's offensive line, which gave up five sacks in Sunday's tie with the Lions.
