Jordan Cameron
Player News
Dolphins are placing Jordan Cameron on the injured reserve list.
He has been out since Week 3, and has suffered four concussions over the past four seasons. He could be looking at retirement to preserve his health.MarQueis Gray and Dominique Jones are the primary options at TE going forward for Miami.
Jordan Cameron (concussion) will not play in Week 9.
With Cameron's pasts regarding concussions it comes to no surprise that the NFL will continue to have him in their protocol. He's had multiple concussions in the past and he been regarded as worried for his long-term future so with that being said Cameron will continue to not play until he, the Dolphins, and the NFL feel comfortable with him playing again. MarQueis Gray will start in Week 9 at tight-end.
Jordan Cameron remains in the NFL concussion protocol.
The Dolphins have got to be concerned with the long term health of Jordan Cameron at this point. He suffered the fourth concussion of his NFL career in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns and hasn't played since. He has obviously suffered plenty of brain trauma and he has not been a productive player since going to the Pro Bowl in 2013. Cameron is only 28, but no one would blame him if he called it quits.
Jordan Cameron (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
Cameron is still sitting out with his fourth concussion in the past four seasons, which is making him consider his future as an NFL player. There is no doubting his talent, but if he isn't in the game mentally, there is no reason that he should ever step on the field again.
