Joe Banyard

Banyard is a depth add to cover the loss of T.J. Yeldon who was placed on I.R. with an ankle injury. He won't factor in the offense at all with Chris Ivory still getting the bulk of the carries in the season finale.

Banyard was cut on Sunday in order for Jacksonville to make room to add Arthur Brown.

The Jaguars are still concerned with T.J. Yeldon's groin and with Bernard Pierce also banged up, the team would feel more comfortable adding a little depth. Banyard won't have much in the way of fantasy value though.

Banyard will be on the team's practice squad and is likely serving as nothing more than positional depth. With T.J. Yeldon and Bernard Pierce dealing with some issues, the team felt the need to get another back, just in case one or both can't play in Week 6 against the Houston Texans.
