Jerrell Freeman will visit the Bears on Friday. Atlanta and the Giants are also in the mix to sign him.
The Bears already signed free agent Danny Trevathan, and adding Freeman would further solidify Chicago's linebacking corps. Chicago's defense returned to respectability in head coach John Fox's first season, but they scored the sixth-fewest fantasy points thanks largely to their inability to score single defensive or special teams touchdown. The Bears D/ST will likely be worth drafting in all leagues next season, especially if they add Freeman.
Jerrell Freeman recorded eight tackles, two sacks and returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown in a 30-24 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Freeman couldn't have asked for a better season finale. He stuffed the stat sheet and even found the end zone in this one. Although the Colts didn't make the playoffs, it was another solid season for Freeman and his IDP owners will tell you the same thing.
