Jeremiah Poutasi placed on injured reserve.
The Jaguars signed Jeremiah Poutasi from their practice squad in mid-November after a rash of injuries to their offensive line. He was the 66th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft but flamed out quickly with the Titans before landing with Jacksonville. He is only 22 years old and a worthwhile project for the Jags' coaching staff.
Jaguars have added three players to their practice squad in RB Bronson Hill, TE Alex Ellis, and G Jeremiah Poutasi.
This is nothing more than a move to add some depth to the Jaguars practice squad. With NFL injuries occurring on a regular basis nowadays, the deeper the pool, the bigger the possible fish.
Titans G Jeremiah Poutasi was released Friday.
Poutasi was a 3rd round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, but he failed to meet the expectations of the coaching staff. It's possible he'll get a chance with another club, but his performance so far in preseason has been underwhelming. If he does clear waivers, it's possible he could also end up on Tennessee's practice squad.
Titans have agreed to terms with FB Jalston Fowler, the team's 4th round pick.
Fowler is expected to be more of special teams/ blocking specialist out of the backfield. He's unlikely to provide any fantasy value.
