Bears placed OT Jason Spriggs on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Spriggs had played only two snaps all season before filling in at right tackle in Week 8. Starting RG Germain Ifedi has been deemed a "close contact" and will also go on the COVID-19 list, though he could be cleared in time for Sunday's game against the Titans. With RT Bobby Massie out at least a month with a knee issue, the Bears will be down to their No. 3 right tackle vs. Tennessee.
Spriggs (back) was moved to the Packers' injured reserve list Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction page.
Spriggs had been dealing with elbow and back injuries leading up to training camp, and will now stick on the injured reserve list. Barring an injury settlement, he'll remain on the Green Bay's injured reserve for the rest of the season.
The Packers placed Spriggs (back) on the waived/injured list Tuesday.
Spriggs has been dealing with elbow and back injuries leading up to training camp, and was finally placed on waivers. Assuming he goes unclaimed, this move is likely just a precursor to his placement on injured reserve.
Spriggs was sidelined during Sunday's practice due to a trapezius injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Spriggs hurt his elbow this offseason leading up to training camp, and is now dealing with a new injury. Even with his absence, Spriggs is expected to be nothing more than one of the team's top backups at tackle for 2019.
