James Stone
Player News
Falcons have reached an injury settlement with C James Stone.
Stone's season ended last year in December with a torn ACL after playing in a total of seven games with one start. He was waived/injured and has now been fully cut loose. Once the knee is fully healed and teams have confidence in his health, he should find a home somewhere that needs O-line depth as he is a pretty highly-rated run blocker according to PFF's rankings.
James Stone (ACL) is being held out of minicamp.
If Stone is healthy enough for training camp, nobody will even remember that he missed minicamp. Stone played in seven games in 2015, including one start, and he could be a valuable backup again this season if he is healthy.
Falcons have placed C James Stone on IR, ending his season.
Atlanta shot out of the gate thanks largely to its offensive line play, but that seems like a distant memory now. Stone, and undrafted rookie, played in seven games, including one start, this season. He will likely compete for a backup job in training camp, if he is healthy.
The Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms on an undisclosed deal with undrafted rookie free-agent C James Stone.
