Scott appeared in three games in 2019, catching one of three targets for six yards on 17 offensive snaps.

The second-year wideout failed to make an impact once again in 2019 despite Baltimore having meager talent at receiver beyond Marquise Brown and Willie Snead. Scott, a former fourth-round selection, played all 17 of his offensive snaps Week 17 when Baltimore was resting its main contributors. He's a big-bodied receiver at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, but his movement skills are well below average for an NFL receiver even when adjusting for his size. With that, Scott has a thin margin for error for success at this level that shrinks with each season that he fails to get on the field. Scott may have a tough time sticking on the 53-man roster in 2020 if Baltimore overhauls its receiving corps as expected.

Scott was inactive for Sunday's win over the Dolphins.

The Ravens had five receivers active Sunday, but Scott was not among them. Baltimore's top three is fairly set with Marquise Brown, Willie Snead and Miles Boykin, and the likes of Chris Moore and Seth Roberts provide depth behind them. Scott did well for himself in making the 53-man roster, but he may continue to be a healthy scratch each week barring a change to Baltimore's receiving rotation.

Scott caught six of 10 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's 20-7 preseason win over Washington.

After turning some heads in training camp, Baltimore gave the statuesque sophomore an extended final audition Thursday in his pursuit of making the roster. He took full advantage, more than doubling every other Raven both in targets and yards and hauling in the game-leading touchdown in the second quarter, a 24-yard shot downfield from Trace McSorley. When you're getting down to WR5 or WR6, it comes down to how many of each position a team intends to carry and how things shake out in other areas of the roster. Scott made Baltimore's brass' decision more difficult Thursday.

Coach John Harbaugh said Friday that Scott is "right in the mix" at wide receiver.

The 2018 fourth-round pick was stashed on injured reserve with a hamstring issue for his entire rookie season. Scott came back healthy for the offseason program and now is off to a strong start at training camp. He's still on the roster bubble, but there's clear opportunity for advancement given the lack of proven talent toward the top of Baltimore's wideout depth chart.
