Player News
QB Jake Locker is retiring from the NFL.
Jake Locker, who will be an unrestricted free agent next month, could have a potential suitor in the Eagles.
The Eagles have said that they'll go into the season with Nick Foles as their starter. However, given the injuries last season, the team wants a bona fide QB as their back-up. It's a situation Locker may enjoy unless someone comes along who may want to use him as a starter.
Jake Locker, who was placed on injured reserve, will undergo shoulder surgery Tuesday.
Another injury consumes Jake Locker\'s season. The surgery will end his season and put the Titans in a slight quarterback dilemma. Zach Mettenberger is also dealing with a shoulder injury, so the Titans could be rolling Charlie Whitehurst out there in week 16 under center. In limited action this year, Locker threw five touchdowns compared to seven interceptions.
Titans placed QB Jake Locker on Injured-Reserve with a shoulder injury.
The Titans just signed Jordan Palmer who will now back up Charlie Whitehurst this week when the Titans face the Jaguars Thursday. Locker, who is scheduled for shoulder surgery Tuesday, is done for the year and Zach Mettenberger likely is as well. The Titans are going to be pretty darn bad over these next two weeks.
