Eagles placed OG Jack Driscoll on injured reserve.
The move officially ends Driscoll’s fifth NFL campaign. Driscoll made one start at right guard earlier this year when the team was particularly banged up in the trenches. He will be a free agent in the spring.
Dolphins agreed to terms with OL Jack Driscoll, formerly of the Eagles.
Driscoll played in 54 games with the Eagles over the last four seasons while making 17 starts. He’ll presumably start the season with the Dolphins as a player with positional flexibility who adds depth across the interior and exterior part of the line but he could play his way into a role if he impresses in camp or if another player struggles.
Eagles activated G/OT Jack Driscoll from injured reserve.
Driscoll’s activation is significant because he figures to move into the starting lineup immediately, playing right guard with Landon Dickerson moving to the interior on the left side. Josiah Scott, who was also activated from injured reserve, is expected to backup Avonte Maddox on Sunday.
Eagles RT Jack Driscoll (knee) is out for the season.
Driscoll played through an MCL injury last week against New Orleans. Testing of Driscoll's knee showed more extensive damage to the MCL. Drafted by the Eagles with the 145th pick this year, Driscoll was the team's second best pass blocker in 2020, per Pro Football Focus. The Eagles will have to continue shuffling their offensive line with this latest injury.
