Jace Amaro
Player News
Jace Amaro left practice early Wednesday with a shoulder injury.
Amaro has just three receptions for 59 yards through the first four weeks, so if his recent shoulder injury is significant, it won't have much of a fantasy impact. Check back for more on this injury as more information becomes available.
Jace Amaro is officially active for Week 3.
With Delanie Walker inactive today due to a hamstring injury the Titans have decided to activate Jace Amaro. Amaro was cut by the Jets at the end of the pre-season and was signed by the Titans, but has yet to appear in a game for Tennessee. The 24-year-old was productive for the Jets back in 2014, catching 38 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns. He's too risky of a play for this week, seeing that we don't know what his role in the offense will be quite yet.
Titans claimed Jace Amaro off of waivers.
After the Jets released Amaro it was very likely that he would find a new team quickly. He has found that team with the Titans and they hope he can contribute to their 2016 season.
Jets released Jace Amaro.
Just two years after being drafted by the Jets in the second round, TE Jace Amaro was released Saturday when the rosters were cut down to their final 53. Amaro sputtered at times in his rookie season, but he also showed great promise. Last year he missed the whole season, and with a packed depth at TE, the Jets seemed to have no use for him anymore. The fact he looked good in preseason this year bodes well to him finding a home elsewhere.
