After missing last season with a torn meniscus, Arizona Cardinals TE Ifeanyi Momah was available for all practices this offseason, and participated in preseason. After spending the first three weeks on the practice squad, it appears Momah will finally get his chance, as the Cardinals move TE Troy Niklas to the IR. Niklas, who is suffering from a wrist issue, is likely done for the season, but it is stil unknown just how much of a workload Momah will actually get.
Exclusive-rights free-agent TE Ifeanyi Momah signed his one-year contract with the Cardinals.
Momah missed the entire 2015 season after being put on injured reserve but is back with the Cardinals on a one-year deal. Momah has yet to record a single stat in the NFL.
Ifeanyi Momah tore his meniscus Wednesday and will be placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Tough blow for Momah as there was a chance he could have carved himself a role as a red zone option for the Cardinals. The Cardinals have already replaced Momah by signing Joseph Fauria who will look to be a bigger target near the end zone for Carson Palmer.
