Titans signed DB Ibraheim Campbell, formerly of the Packers.
Campbell has bounced around the league in recent years and has settled in as a special teamer and depth option at box safety. Expect him to take on the same exact role with the Titans. He will be 28 years old this upcoming season.
Campbell had 14 tackles (eight solo) and one forced fumble in seven games this season.
The 27-year-old spent the first nine weeks of the season on the PUP list after tearing his ACL in Week 13 last season, but he returned Week 10 and ended up playing a sizable role down the stretch for the Packers. Campbell worked as the team's third safety once healthy and averaged 26 defensive snaps per game. Campbell is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March.
Campbell (knee) was activated from PUP by the Packers on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Campbell had to return to the roster today or be lost for the season on the PUP list as his three-week window for activation was rapidly closing. He'll fill a depth role in the Green Bay secondary when he returns to game action.
Campbell (knee) practiced Wednesday, opening up the three-week window for him to be activated from the PUP list, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Campbell's eligible to suit up for Sunday's game against the Raiders, but if he's unable to, he must play in Week 8 or 9 to avoid being shut down for the season. The fifth-year pro will likely stick to special teams if Darnell Savage (ankle) is healthy.
