Ian Silberman
Player News
Silberman worked out for the Cardinals recently, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Silberman has been a free agent since needing to be rushed to the hospital with an abdominal issue while with the Colts early in the preseason. Whether he secures a deal or not, the 27-year-old at least seems to be healthy again.
Silberman (abdomen) was released by Indianapolis on Saturday, the team's official site reports.
Silberman just joined the team at the end of July and then was hospitalized with an abdominal issue prior to Thursday's preseason tilt. He was let go as a result of the Nate Theaker signing.
Silberman was ushered to the hospital before Thursday's preseason game for precautionary reasons due to an abdominal issue.
It's unclear the specifics of the abdominal issue, but the fact that Silberman had to be rushed to the hospital suggests it's serious. An appendix problem could never be ruled out, but expect the team to update the depth lineman's status in the near future.
Raiders signed guard Ian Silberman to the practice squad.
Silberman was a sixth round draft choice by the 49ers in the 2015 draft. He has not seen any action during the regular season in his career, and as an offensive linesman, has no fantasy value, aside from the protection he could potentially provide his QB or as a blocker in the run game.
