Hunter Sharp
Player News
Sharp did not play in Thursday's preseason contest versus the Redskins.
Sharp was seen working out on the rehab field earlier in the week, per Tyler Dragon of The Cincinnati Enquirer, and he's apparently still battling the undisclosed issue. Any absence for the 25-year-old makes it increasingly difficult to make the 53-man roster.
Sharp was promoted to the Bengals' 53-man roster Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Sharp has been on the Bengals' practice squad since Nov. 20 and joins the active roster ahead of Week 17. Tyler Boyd (knee) moves to injured reserve in a corresponding move, while Sharp should serve as a depth option at wide receiver Sunday at Pittsburgh.
Hunter Sharp has been waived with an injury settlement.
It may sound unfair, but as an undrafted free agent, you cannot afford to miss any practice time in camp. Sharp has done exactly that along with missing the first two games and thus he was cut on Wednesday with an injury settlement. Best of luck to him going forward.
Hunter Sharp (hamstring) did not practice Sunday.
The Eagles signed Sharp as a undrafted free-agent this offseason with the hopes he could make some big plays down field with his speed. He will need to fully heel his hamstring to truly use his speed.
