Heath Farwell
Player News
Jaguars hired ex-Bills special teams coordinator Heath Farwell for the same position.
Farwell, 40, ended his playing career in 2014 and has been coaching special teams for the last six seasons, graduating to Bills STC the last three years after being an assistant in Seattle and Carolina. Farwell was a Pro Bowl special teamer in his playing days.
Coach Pete Carroll said LB Heath Farwell suffered “extensive damage” to his groin and will require surgery.
This isn\'t good and sounds like he\'ll end up on the PUP list, if not season-ending IR. He was fixing to be a back-up, so look for Brock Coyle to start seeing more reps ion practice.
Seattle LB Heath Farwell sustained a groin injury in the fourth quarter Friday.
Farwell is considered day-to-day. He might miss a practice or two but shouldn\'t be more than that. if it is , then expect the team to send him out for an MRI to see just how severe a strain it might be.
