Geneo Grissom

Grissom was looking to earn a depth role with the Saints, after suiting up in 37 games for the Patriots the past four seasons. The 27-year-old will hope to latch on as a special teams contributor and depth defensive lineman with another team in the league.

Grissom was originally drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was then released by New England in November after appearing in only four games during the 2018 season. A playoff stint with the Colts followed, but wasn't enough to keep the defensive end around long term. He'll now look to make New Orleans his new home as he aims to secure a depth role on the defensive line.

Grissom has moved with Anthony Johnson from the practice squad to the 53-man to fill in for Jonathan Freeny and Greg Scruggs, who have been placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Smith will serve as the Jets primary deep threat as they try to go from one of the leagues' worst passing offenses to one of the best. Smith won't have a ton of fantasy value, though, as he's behind Erick Decker and Brandon Marshall on the depth chart, and won't have a great QB throwing to him.
