Garry Gilliam
Player News
Seahawks assistant coach Tom Cable said Garry Gilliam will start at right tackle in Week 16.
Seattle is tied for tenth in the league for most sacks allowed, which is not a positive stat. They also rank 20th in rushing, so Gilliam will need to prove he can fix the trend, otherwise the "Hawks will look elsewhere in the offseason.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that Garry Gilliam will be used at left tackle this season.
Looks like Gilliam will be moving to left tackle to protect Russell Wilson's blind side while Justin Britt will be their center. This may take awhile for the two to adjust, leading to some growing pains for both linemen. In a conference that features Robert Quinn and Aaron Donald, it could spell trouble for players like Wilson and Thomas Rawls' fantasy value.
Seahawks tackle Garry Gilliam expects to replace the departed Russell Okung as the starting left tackle this upcoming season.
Gilliam seems to have been handpicked by the Seahawks and will cover Russell Wilson's blindside next season.
