It’s unknown how bad Moreau is injured, but if he has ligament tears he could open training camp on the PUP list. If Moreau’s knee injury is deeply serious, the 2025 season would probably be in jeopardy given how late in the season this injury occurred. Moreau enters the final year of his three-year Saints contract in 2025 and has a $4.6 million cap hit. The Saints can save $2.5 million against the cap if they release him.

Moreau scored the first touchdown of the game on a pretty trick play from the Saints that involved two backward passes before Spencer Rattler found Moreau wide-open in the end zone. However, 30 of Moreau’s 47 total yards came on that one trick play, so the 27-year-old backup tight end is hard to trust in fantasy leagues in Week 18.

The offense managed only 194 total yards in what eventually went down as the first shutout of the 2024 NFL season. Moreau remains unlikely to see consistent volume in what has become one of the worst offenses in the league with Spencer Rattler under center.
