Raiders signed LT Donald Penn to a one-day contract.
He'll be promptly placed on the team's reserve/retired list and hang up his cleats in the Silver and Black. 37-year-old Penn started all 66 games he was available for the Raiders, finishing his career with 194 appearances across 14 seasons. He initially signed with Las Vegas as a free agent in 2014, extending his personal start-streak to 170 regular-season games from 2007 until Week 16 of the 2017 season. He also earned two Pro Bowl selections and was named to the All-AFC Team with the Raiders.
Penn (hamstring) is officially active for Sunday's clash against the Dolphins.
Penn came into the game deemed questionable after he suffered the hamstring injury during Week 5's loss to the Patriots. Now that the veteran is officially healthy, look for him to assume his usual role as the team's starting left tackle for the game.
Penn (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game at Miami.
The veteran offensive tackle suffered the hamstring injury during last Sunday's loss to the Patriots, but the fact he was able to practice fully Friday should put him on track to play Week 6. Geron Christian would likely fill in at left tackle should Penn suffer a setback.
Penn was forced out of Sunday's game versus the Patriots with a hamstring injury.
Geron Christian is expected to fill in at left guard in Penn's place. Penn will look to get healthy for Week 6's game versus the Dolphins.
