2024 Player Outlook
There is a contingency of Donald Parham Truthers out there that still believes. Maybe it was his appearance on Hard Knocks. Maybe it's fun to root for guys who spend time in the XFL and fight their way back to the NFL. Or maybe it's because a 6'8" athletic specimen does offer interesting upside, especially in the red zone. As of late he's been more of a blocking tight end with Gerald Everett skewing pass-catching but Everett left in free agency. Parham will do battle with the likes of Hayden Hurst, Will Dissly, and Stone Smartt to carve out roles. We believe that Hayden Hurst is in the driver seat for any pass-catching duties but just the uncertainty alone leaves the door open with this new regime and a limited group of WRs.

Steelers signed TE Donald Parham, formerly of the Broncos.
Parham spent 2024 on the Broncos’ practice squad but last took an NFL snap with the Chargers in 2023. He was a red zone weapon in LA, scoring 11 touchdowns on 67 catches during his four seasons with the Bolts. Steelers OC Arthur Smith uses multiple tight ends more than almost any other play-caller in the league, giving Parham a path to a roster spot this summer.
Zac Stevens of DNVR reports that the Broncos have agreed to terms with TE Donald Parham Jr., formerly of the Chargers.
Parham Jr was cut by the Chargers on Tuesday after four years with the club. The 6-foot-8, 237-pound tight end was able to snag 11 touchdowns in that time while catching 67 passes for 764 yards. It wouldn’t be an upset if he saw time with Denver during the 2024 campaign.
Chargers released TE Donald Parham Jr.
Parham spent the last four seasons with the Chargers after a brief, successful stint in the XFL. He finishes with 67 receptions, 764 yards and 11 touchdowns via 100 regular season targets. The 27-year-old will likely sign with another NFL team soon.
Donald Parham caught 5-of-6 targets for 83 yards in the Chargers’ Week 18 loss against the Chiefs.
Parham led the team in receiving yards with Gerald Everett out for the final three quarters with a knee injury. The massive tight end finishes the year with 27 catches for 285 yards and four touchdowns. His big frame makes Parham a solid red zone option. Everett could leave the team in free agency this offseason and leave Parham, 26, with a larger role in the LA passing offense.
