Don Jackson
Player News
Don Jackson (hand) fully participated in practice Thursday.
Jackson was listed as the starter for Sunday's game but went down with the hand injury. Given that he participated in full on Thursday, that bodes well for his availability for Week 8, though it maybe a committee backfield with Ty Montgomery proving he can handle carrying the rock in Week 7.
Tests on RB Don Jackson's left hand did not show a break.
Jackson was hoping to play well enough in Week 7 to earn more playing time, but suffered the hand injury after receiving only two carries. At this point, due to Ty Montgomery carving out a nice role in the Packers offense and Knile Davis becoming more acclimated with the playbook, Jackson does not carry any fantasy value.
Don Jackson is questionable to return to Thursday's game with a hand injury.
Jackson is a fresh call-up from the practice squad, but hasn't shown much of anything so far on Thursday night. He suffered a hand injury in the first half, though the extent of his injury is not known. We will keep you updated.
Packers list Don Jackson as their starting running back for Week 7.
The undrafted rookie is the only healthy running back that has been with the Packers for any considerable amount of time, so it makes sense he would be the starter. Knile Davis has only been in Green Bay for two days, so he figures to get some run, but his carries should be limited. It is also worth noting that Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery have experience in the backfield in college as well. If possible, it would be a good idea to avoid the Packers backfield tonight. Davis is the guy to own, and will be more valuable once he becomes more comfortable.
