Perryman will be entering his 11th NFL season, all of them with the Chargers. He has been limited to 12 games (11 starts) in each of the last three seasons and finished 2024 with 55 tackles, two tackles for a loss, and one sack. He will continue to provide veteran experience at the linebacker position in Los Angeles.

Perryman was making his first appearance for the Chargers in four weeks because of the groin injury. The veteran linebacker will likely sit the rest of the Thursday Night contest and Troy Dye should see the majority of the snaps in the middle for the Los Angeles linebacker corps.

Perryman has now missed back-to-back games with a groin injury. Hart was also ruled out on Friday with an ankle designation. Neither of those two players practiced this week and it will be an uphill battle for them to play in Week 14. Playing off the questionable line for the Chargers is Daiyan Henley (calf). The rest of these players are healthy scratches and/or the third quarterback.

Perryman began his career as a second-round pick of the Chargers in 2015, when the team was still in San Diego. He spent six seasons with them before spending two seasons with the Raiders and one with the Texans. Perryman was a Pro Bowler in 2021 as a Raider and tallied 76 tackles and six tackles for loss as a Texan in 2023, starting in 11 games. After parting ways with Eric Kendricks, the Chargers now sign the 31-year-old Perryman to plug the hole at linebacker.
