Dennis Pitta
Player News
The Ravens have named Greg Roman senior offensive assistant and tight ends coach.
Roman has previously served as the Bills and 49ers offensive coordinator. Roman has been a wizard in the running game and with an up and coming back in Kenneth Dixon, Baltimore is going to exploit Roman's strengths and hope he improves their running game.
Dennis Pitta caught three passes on four targets for 39 yards during the Ravens' 13-7 win over the Bills on Sunday.
Pitta missed the entire 2015 season with an injury, so this has to feel very good for him. He didn't have a crazy day by any stretch, but he did haul in three receptions and led Baltimore's tight end corps. With Maxx Williams and Crockett Gilmore on the roster, it is hard to trust that the Ravens will use Pitta in an exclusive role, thus making him waiver wire fodder at this point.
Dennis Pitta (dislocated finger) will play Week 1.
Pitta will reportedly start as well. We haven't seen him play in quite some time but he's always been an intriguing fantasy option when healthy. He's well worth a look in GPP's today and he's also a solid TE2 in season long formats. Flacco and Pitta should connect multiple times today.
Dennis Pitta is back at practice on Saturday.
The Ravens are getting healthier at tight end, although the loss of Ben Watson for the season is still a major issue to overcome. Pitta is finally over his finger injury, and will presumably rise to the top of the depth chart above Crockett Gilmore and Maxx Williams to begin the season. Assuming he can stay healthy, always a question with Pitta.
