DeAngelo Yancey
Player News
The Titans waived Yancey on Friday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Yancey was a late addition to training camp and needed to make an immediate impression if he had any chance to land on the Titans' 53-man roster. While he did show flashes in joint practices against the Patriots, he was unable to make the team.
Yancey signed with Tennessee on Saturday, according to his agent.
The Packers took Yancey in the fifth round coming out of Purdue in 2017, but he's never seen an NFL snap. He'll merely provide depth for the Titans, and for now is simply trying to make the team.
Yancey was officially waived by the Jets on Tuesday.
Yancey was originally re-signed by the Jets on the first day of 2019 after spending last season on the practice squad. The 2017 fifth-round pick hasn't played a regular-season game in his career. He logged 141 receptions, 2,344 yards and 20 touchdowns in 39 games in his college career for Purdue.
