Commanders signed CB De'Vante Bausby, formerly of the USFL's New Jersey Generals.
Bausby totaled 17 tackles and one interception with the Generals. He spent a month on the Raiders' roster last summer before getting cut in August. He then joined the Patriots practice squad. Bausby last took the field in the NFL for the Broncos. He appeared in 10 games for Denver in 2020, defending five passes while playing a part-time role.
Raiders signed CB De'Vante Bausby, formerly of the Broncos.
Bausby graded out as PFF's 163rd cornerback in 2020, so he's unlikely to make a defensive impact. Bausby played meaningful snaps on special teams however, and could make the roster if he stands out on the return teams or in kick coverage.
Broncos re-signed CB DeVante Bausby to a one-year contract.
Bausby began his career with one-year stints in Chicago and Philly, but may have found a home with the Broncos. He will likely be a special teamer and depth option, although he did play 100% of the defensive snaps in Week 4 before a neck injury ended his season.
Bausby (neck) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.
Bausby was already expected to be lost for the season after suffering a significant neck injury Sunday, so the move is mostly procedural. Coty Sensabaugh was added to the 53-man roster to bolster the Broncos' depth at cornerback.
