Daniel Ross

Ross appeared in two games for Jacksonville after getting claimed off waivers from the Raiders in December. The 28-year-old journeyman can play both nose tackle and defensive end. Ross will compete for one of the final spots in the Jaguars' defensive line rotation.

A Cowboys part-timer in 2017-18, 27-year-old Ross missed all of 2019 with a shoulder injury. He will be reuniting with ex-Cowboys DC Rod Marinelli in Vegas, likely giving him a leg up on a 53-man roster spot. 

The defensive tackle suffered a hand injury in practice at the beginning of the week, but it's not clear when the shoulder injury occurred. Ross was headed for a rotational role in the Cowboys' front seven at best, but the move to IR does make it more likely impressive UDFA Daniel Wise will find a spot on the 53-man roster.

Ross reportedly continued practicing in some capacity after suffering the hand injury, indicating that it may be minor. The rotational defensive tackle will have just under two weeks to recover before the regular-season opener.
