The Jaguars drafted Myles Jack in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft and have a surprisingly deep linebacking corps which includes Paul Posluszny, Joplo Bartu, and Dan Skuta. Skuta should be a starter at strongside linebacker for the Jaguars, but he's also expected to see some time as a situational defensive end which will open up some opportunities for other guys. Ryan Davis is the other strongside linebacker that is expected to make the roster for the Jaguars in 2016.
Dan Skuta will not face charges for the alleged battery case against him stemming from a June incident.
Skuta was arrested in the early morning of June 19th on an alleged first-degree battery misdemeanor following an incident where a woman claims she was struck by him. Witnesses confirmed that there was no physical altercation and Skuta was cleared of the charges later on.
Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Daniel Skuta was arrested on June 19th and charged with misdemeanor battery. His attorney is denying the claims and the Jaguars have released a statement that they are still gathering information before making any decisions regarding his status.
Skuta was arrested for battery and the woman claimed that Skuta shoved her head against a glass window after she wouldn't give him her phone number. Skuta's lawyer continues to say that the woman is lying and the Jacksonville linebacker continues to say that he didn't hit her, but she hit him. Jacksonville will continue to investigate before making a decision.
