Dan Orlovsky
Player News
Lions have re-signed Dan Orlovsky.
Orlovsky has played in just three regular-season games for Detroit over the past two seasons. However, the 32-year-old has plenty of experience around the league and makes for a capable backup.
Dan Orlovsky completed 21-of-38 passes for 191 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
Orlovsky relieved a struggling Matt Stafford on Sunday in a blowout against the Cardinals and held his own out there. There are rumors that Stafford might be benched going forward, but it is more likely that coach Caldwell took him out just because of the blowout. If there is a permanent change coming, Orlovsky would obviously be the next man up, but struggling fantasy owners shouldn’t get their hopes up.
Lions announce they've re-signed backup QB Dan Orlovsky to a one-year deal.
Montell Owens being evaluated for possible head injury.
The severity of the injury is unknown. He hadn\'t been given the ball at all prior to the injury.
