Daniel McCullers
Player News
McCullers had two tackles in Sunday's 28-10 loss to the Ravens.
Reprising his role as backup nose tackle, McCullers finished the 2019 season with eight tackles in 16 games played. He has one year remaining on his current contract and should once again provide depth behind Javon Hargrave in 2020.
Daniel McCullers lost 15 pounds and said, that at his current weight of 350, he felt a difference the first week of organized team activities.
It's comforting to know that when you're that big, losing a quick 15 pounds can even be felt. Perhaps it will inspire him to lose a little more. McCullers is there for his run-stopping ability so if a little weight loss can give him a little bit quicker of a step without losing any strength, then he should continue down this path.
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed sixth-round pick DT Daniel McCullers.
McCullers is a big boy, and can play either nose tackle or defensive end, so he adds some versatility to the Steelers\' defensive line. If he proves to be a quick study, he could be more than just a depth guy and may get a chance to start.
