Player News
Killings sustained a torn pectoral muscle during the Raiders' first preseason tilt and will undergo surgery, which ultimately landed the cornerback on IR earlier this week as Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Killings' regular season debut in the NFL will have to wait until at least 2020, as a torn pectoral muscle will keep the 24-year-old sidelined while he recovers on IR. Killings didn't have a clear path to playing time with the Raiders given Gareon Conley, Daryl Worley and Nick Nelson remain at full strength.
Killings was placed on injured reserve Sunday with an unspecified injury, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Killings appears to have suffered the injury during Saturday's preseason matchup with the Rams, though the details remain foggy. He'll remain on injured reserve unless he reaches an injury settlement.
Killings signed a contract with the Raiders on Thursday, Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Killings spent 13 days without a team after the Colts waived him May 19. The Raiders had an open spot on their 90-man roster after waiving fullback Ryan Yurachek (undisclosed) with an injury designation Wednesday. Killings dealt with an ankle injury early in the 2018 season, but seems to be fully healthy heading into OTAs.
Killings was cut by Indianapolis on Friday.
Killings signed a reserve/future contract with the Colts on Jan. 14 after spending the last few weeks of the 2018 season on Green Bay's practice squad. The Central Florida product sustained an ankle injury early in the 2018 season, but seems to have fully recovered.
