The Dolphins were hoping to sneak the No. 164 overall pick through waivers after he injured his foot, but the Browns decided to pounce. As the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley put it on Twitter, the Dolphins ended up getting five padded practices out of a fifth-round pick. Not exactly ideal. A cult favorite amongst the draft community, Weaver's fifth-round fall surprised on draft weekend. It is unclear if Weaver will be healthy enough to play in 2020. 

The No. 164 overall pick apparently has a "serious" foot injury. He will revert to injured reserve once he clears waivers. An "upside" pick who slid in the draft for a variety of reasons, 22-year-old Weaver will be up against it to crack the 53-man roster in 2021.
