Peace (knee) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Peace was claimed off waivers by the Giants at the end of September and appeared in four games. The undrafted rookie also played in one game for the Chargers before being waived, but he didn't record a tackle this season.
The Giants claimed Peace off waivers on Monday, Pat Leonard of NY Daily News Sports reports.
Peace's spot on the roster comes following the placement of Ryan Connelly (knee) on injured reserve. The undrafted rookie out of Virginia was released by the Chargers on Sept. 28, and he'll now work to carve out a depth role in New York.
The Chargers waived Peace on Saturday.
Peace hasn't played in a game since Week 1 against the Colts, and he only logged special-teams snaps in that contest. If he clears waivers, Peace may land on the team's practice squad.
Peace was signed to the Chargers active roster Tuesday.
Peace was waived prior to Week 2 after being active for the Chargers season opener, and now finds himself back on the 53-man roster. He will provide depth for edge rushers Melvin Ingram and Joey Boss.
