Giants signed OL Chris Hubbard, formerly of the 49ers.
The Giants plucked Hubbard off the 49ers’ practice squad. The 11-year vet should get a chance to play some snaps at tackle now that Andrew Thomas is out for the season due to a foot injury. Hubbard appeared in nine games for the Titans last season, starting at right tackle while earning a PFF blocking grade of 68.2. He allowed four sacks on 18 pressures and has allowed just 21 sacks 2,378 passing plays, per PFF.
49ers signed RT Chris Hubbard, formerly of the Titans.
Hubbard started nine games for the Titans in 2023 before suffering a season-ending triceps injury. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said Hubbard, 33, entering his tenth NFL season, is now healthy and could function as a “viable swing option” for the elite San Francisco offensive line, graded by PFF as last year’s best run blocking unit.
Titans RT Chris Hubbard (biceps) will not play in Week 12 against the Panthers.
Hubbard being ruled out is just a formality as he is reportedly dealing with a torn biceps that will force him to miss the remainder of the year. Barring further testing revealing a change in his diagnosis, Hubbard will be placed on injured reserve soon. The 32-year-old tackle started nine games for the Titans this year.
Titans RT Chris Hubbard (concussion) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 10 against the Bucs.
Nicholas Petit-Frere had been filling in at right tackle for Hubbard over the past two weeks. He suffered an injury of his own last week and looks likely to miss Week 10, though that isn’t as big of an issue with Hubbard back in the lineup.
