Charlie Whitehurst

After a blowout loss to the Patriots, the Browns have parted ways with Whitehurst. Whitehurst was 14 of 24 for 182 yards, one touchdown, and one interception this past Sunday. Whitehurst was forced into the game when rookie Cody Kessler was injured. The Browns have had five quarterbacks this season if you count Terrelle Pryor. They may be moving to their sixth and its only Week 6.

Considering the game just ended, it's highly unlikely Whitehurst will return to the game. Both Whitehurst and Kessler will be re-evaluated in the coming days to see if one of them is capable of starting for Cleveland next week.

The QB carousel continues in Cleveland. Cody Kessler was injured earlier in the game and now Whitehurst is hurt as well. This leaves Terrelle Pryor as the QB for the Browns right now who really just want the game to end. Assuming both Whitehurst and Kessler are unable to play next week it'll be interesting to see what the Browns do at QB.

The Browns need some insurance at the quarterback position, seeing as both Robert Griffin and Josh McCown are down with injuries. Cody Kessler is going to get the start under center this weekend, with Whitehurst holding the clipboard. Fire up the Miami DST!
