Dolphins signed OT Cedric Ogbuehi, formerly of the Jets, to a contract.

The Jets re-signed Ogbuehi less than a month ago, only to release him days after the NFL Draft. A former first-round draft pick of the Bengals in 2015, Ogbuehi started seven games for the Jets last season, allowing 14 pressures and one sack while receiving a 57.0 pass block grade from PFF. Ogbuehi is now on his fourth team in five years, and will serve as added depth on the Dolphins' offensive line if he's able to earn a roster spot.

Jets released OT Cedric Ogbuehi.

They had just re-signed him before the draft, so apparently the Jets are happy with what they see out of Max Mitchell, Billy Turner, and Carter Warren early. Ogbuehi will try to find a different place to be functional tackle depth in 2023.

He'll again operate as a depth option after starting five games last season during New York's injury crunch at tackle. The Jets will hope to not need to use him that often again. Ogbuehi has played at least 50 snaps in every season of his career to date.

We were as surprised as you were to find out that Ogbuehi was still starting NFL games. Such is the state of the Jets backup tackle depth chart behind Mekhi Becton and George Fant. Max Mitchell took his place at right tackle.
