Cowboys re-signed DT Carl Davis.
Davis signed to the Cowboys’ practice squad in 2023, appearing in three regular-season games. He initially entered the league as a third-round pick by the Ravens in 2015, bouncing around to the Browns, Colts, and Jaguars before joining the Patriots in 2020. He spent three seasons with the Patriots, starting seven games in that span. The 31-year-old will continue with the Cowboys for now as part of a defensive tackle room that also includes Johnathan Hankins and Mazi Smith.

Davis joined the league and floated between teams for a few years before finding a home in New England. He has been with the Pats since 2020 and picked up a larger role last year. Davis appeared in all 17 games, was credited with four starts, and earned his first career sack.

Davis was re-signed just 36 days ago, but the Jags have decided to move on. The 28-year-old is facing a four-game PED suspension. Davis made just three 2019 appearances between the Jags and Colts.
