Benenoch appeared in one game for Tampa last year after being a 16 game starter in 2018. Detroit signed DE Will Clarke to take his spot.
Benenoch was acquired via waivers by the Lions on Monday.
Benenoch spent two weeks on the Cowboys' active roster before being waived prior to Week 15 and will now join Detroit. He will provide depth along the offensive line
The Cowboys waived Benenoch on Saturday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Benenoch just signed with the Cowboys on Dec. 1, but his tenure ended quickly. If he clears waivers, Benenoch is a practice-squad candidate.
The Cowboys signed Benenoch to the active roster on Sunday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Benenoch's spot on the 53-man roster comes following the placement of Connor Williams (knee) on injured reserve. He'll bolster Dallas' depth along the interior of the offensive line.
