C.J. Prosise

Prosise signed to the practice squad in early January but never appeared in a game. The Bucs added WR Cyril Grayson to replace Prosise.

Prosise was waived by the Texans earlier this week. The Bucs have been dealing with injuries to their backfield with Ronald Jones (finger) and Leonard Fournette (core) at less than 100 percent. 26-year-old Prosise would add depth if signed.

It's already the second time the Texans have waived Prosise this year. He'll likely clear waivers and revert to the team's practice squad. David Johnson, who handled 100% of the team's backfield carries and targets sans Duke Johnson Sunday, is expected to close the year as an every-down back against the Titans.

It's a non-COVID illness. Prosise had six touches and played 18% of snaps in a change-up role last week. The Texans are expected to activate David Johnson (concussion, IR) ahead of Sunday's game.
